’Challenges inspire us.’ This sentence which can be found on the Main page of our website and on our Introduction menu is by far not just an empty phrase for FLINS team, but it is a strength we demonstrate over and over again. One of the most recent examples for this is the large-scale solar panel project in Arló, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County where we managed to overcome an obstacle caused by a swampy ground with special ’collar elements’ fixed to the legs of our DuoSol solar panel supporting structures. We seek to briefly summarise the related information in the most recent entry of our blog and we hope that our readers will agree with us by the end of the article: every detail of the name of FlexInSheet Kft. given nearly half a year ago was an absolutely apt choice!

Unique ’collars’ against sinking
A DuoSol solar panel supporting structure suitable for the installation of not less than 1040 pcs solar panels had to be installed on the outskirts of the village of Arló – for the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service – which is a significant challenge in itself. And if we add that the area designated for the project had a specifically swampy nature, it can immediately be seen that our engineers faced a challenge mentioned in the introduction.
During the preliminary load tests forming an integral part of the installations the ground screws were sinking rapidly which was confirmed by the made soil mechanics report too. A solution could be the increase of the length of the screws, however based on further soil tests lower layers had similarly adverse soil conditions, so a different method had to be chosen for the safe and certainly long-lasting installation.
In reply to the problem the ’collar element’ developed and produced by our company, visible in our picture was made quickly of which we made a total of 590 pieces for every leg of the DuoSol solar panel supporting structure installed on site. The newly created components were built together with the standard screws, moreover they were fixed with steel spikes too. Thanks to this unconventional solution we finally managed to achieve the necessary load-bearing values on the swampy ground in question, so the charity organisation do not need to worry about the long-term stability of the solar park.

’Flexibility – Innovation – Sheet metal’: done!
The above-mentioned story is further proof that if there is a possible solution with which the installation can be carried out efficiently at a location which appears impossible at first sight, the engineers of FLINS will find this solution – even if we have to create it for ourselves!
This can be an important message for the solar panel market operators, because we know exactly that a number of projects in the sector have failed because colleagues can calculate exclusively with ’commercial’ solar panel supporting structures and the related fixed additional components of various producers. By contrast, our partners can rely on the strong engineering background of our company, where creative design and production play an important role.
That is exactly why we chose the motto ’Flexibility – Innovation – Sheet metal’ and its abbreviation FlexInSheet Kft. when we recently became an independent company. Our professionals ensure that the projects entrusted to us are in the best of hands with often unique solutions at the market always adjusted to the given situation and a domestically outstanding experience gained in thin sheet metal technology!
